ALGER COUNTY, Mich. (WLUC) - A man was sentenced for his role in a drug distribution ring of seven people in Alger County.
Dustin Lee was sentenced to 1 year with 8 months served immediately, and 10 months probation. He was also ordered to pay $1,048.
Lee was arrested by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) with seven other people after an investigation related to the distribution of prescription pills.
Detectives from UPSET and Homeland Security Investigations initiated that investigation in 2017 when bulk amounts of various prescription pills were seized by law enforcement as they were shipped through the United States Postal Service.
Lee pleaded guilty earlier this summer to delivery/manufacture of a schedule four drug and using a computer to commit a crime.
