Man involved in RV fraud sentenced to prison

A man involved in a RV fraud incident in Chippewa County has been sentenced to prison.

Roger Lee Carter, a North Carolina parole absconder, pleaded guilty to Larceny by Conversion $20,000 or more and habitual offender, second offense.

Carter and his wife, Dana Upright Royal, were arrested after they fled to Chippewa County after the Hamburg Township Police Department were investigating the theft of a 2012 motor home valued at $60,000.
