HOUGHTON, Mich. (WLUC) - A Houghton man accused of uploading child sexually abusive material on Michigan Tech’s campus is set for a jury trial in circuit court.
Nathaniel George Shapiro, 27, is charged with three counts of possession of child sexually abusive material and three counts of using a computer to commit a crime.
The jury trial is scheduled for April 1 at 9 AM.
At the time of Shapiro’s arrested on August 20 of this year, he was found in possession of a large number of digital devices. He had been downloading material since May. The Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Tasks Force investigated Shapiro, leading up to his arrest.
