Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist visits with young professionals in Marquette
After visiting the Copper Country on Monday, Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist visited several groups in Marquette county. One stop was a visit with the professional development group, Connect Marquette.
Gilchrist discussed his background before listening to the group's questions mainly focused on the economy, talent retention and labor issues.
"The people in our organization are fantastic, they're real go-getters, so any opportunity to have an audience with anyone from Lansing in the administration is fantastic for everyone and we look forward to their trips up north and meeting with them," said Connect Marquette President, Patrick Callahan.
The meet and greet event was also a chance for Connect Marquette members to hear from Gilchrist on ways to network and promote young entrepreneurs within the county.
