Local pharmacy to send kids multi-vitamins to Honduras

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - For the last several years, the Free Kids Vitamin program at Peninsula Pharmacy has helped local kids stay healthy.

Now, Peninsula Pharmacy Owner, Tyler Jenema says he's happy to announce the same program is going overseas.

Jenema presented local missionaries preparing for a trip to Honduras with 1,000 bottles of children’s multi-vitamins to help growing Honduran children.

The 10 month supply of vitamins will be administered at a medical clinic in an under-served area of Honduras.

“We're able to offer the product. We have the connections to be able to get this and supply it and they have the expertise to get it there. So certainly this is something that we would love to do. Not only expand within our community but also to other third world countries and anyone that would need it,” Jenema declared.

Jenema says children ages 2 to 18 can come in, sign up and receive a free bottle of multi-vitamins each month. No questions asked. No strings attached.
