NEGAUNEE, Mich. (WLUC) - Local authors gathered at the Negaunee Public Library to sign books and talk with readers for the Pioneer Days Book Signing Wednesday.
Six local authors representing genres from mystery, to children's books, to historical fiction spoke with fans and personalized books.
Authors got a chance to sell their books, to tell readers what they're working on, and recommend what book fans should read next.
Library staff say its a great way to show authors how important they are to the library.
"As much as libraries are changing, we still greatly depend on books, and authors are the people writing the books. They really help form the backbone of the library, so it's great to have them here and be able to support them," said Jessica Holman, Library Director.
This is the fourth year the Negaunee Public Library has held the book signing.
