Lip Sync Battle raises $20,000

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice held their fourth annual Lip Sync Battle last Friday. The event is put on to raise money for hospice care and community events put on through Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice, and this year, $20,000 was raised.

Sue Rutkowski, the CEO of Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice, says out of the four years the event has been running, this is the third year to hit the $20,000 goal.

"I really want to thank the community for coming out and supporting us. It's just wonderful to see how generous people are, whether they're giving their time, or their money, or donations or baskets, we really appreciate it," says Rutkowski.

The date for next year's Lip Sync Battle will be announced within the next month or so.
