ISHPEMING, Mich. (WLUC) - Tuesday is National Voter Registration Day!
To honor this holiday, the League of Women Voters of Marquette County visited Ishpeming High School earlier Tuesday morning.
The group helped high school seniors, who were at least 17 and a half, complete applications to register to vote, in addition to providing voter education.
"It's wonderful to be in this beautiful high school, and I'm very appreciative of all that the staff here has done to allow all of the high school seniors to be here in one room, and we'll speak with them here all at one time,” said Judy Kitchen, the Co-coordinator of Voter Registration and Education Services for the League of Women Voters of Marquette County.
The League of Women Voters again thank Ishpeming High school for allowing them to spread this important message.
