Landmark Inn restaurant to close, rebrand this spring
The Landmark Inn hotel is rebranding the Piedmont Restaurant, the hotel announced Tuesday.
The Landmark, owned and operated by Graves Hospitality and several local investors, says "The Parlour – Woodfired Pizza and Game Lounge" will boast a newly designed space that will provide travelers and locals with a casual, fun atmosphere in downtown Marquette. The space will offer cocktails, beers, wood-fired pizzas and shelves stocked with board and card games.
The Landmark Inn has partnered with Smelted Wood Fired Pizza for the new restaurant. Formerly known as Copper Crust Company, Smelted, opened in 2016 as a mobile wood fired pizza oven that frequents craft breweries, private parties, and popular local events in the greater Marquette community.
The Piedmont will close on March 30 with the Parlour launching Spring 2020.
“In addition to our food truck, the Parlour will create a fun, family friendly alternative to enjoy Smelted wood fired pizza. Our partnership with The Landmark Inn brings together an iconic Marquette institution and an exciting new business that we are thrilled to be a part of,” said Matt Lucas, Owner of Smelted Pizza, in a press release.
The Piedmont opened in July 2015.
"We're really excited for the transition, the space is going to be very vibrant, we're focusing on a concept that really emphasizes what we do best which is wood fired brick oven pizza and that also emphasizes gaming in the space as well as socialization and craft beer, all great things," said Nick Lentz, Director of Sales & Marketing.
“Patrons will find the Parlour to be a relaxed atmosphere that is designed for socialization. The family friendly environment will be the perfect place to meet up for happy hour, bring the family in for pizza, beer and board games,” said Matthew Mering, Investor in the Landmark Inn, in a press release.
