MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The Landmark Inn has been under new leadership for more than a year. The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning had a luncheon there on Friday to discuss it's progress.
Since being bought by a Minneapolis-based company, the Landmark has seen several changes, including new rooms and the creation of the Piedmont Restaurant. They say business has been better than ever in 2016.
"With our unique boutique style that we have here, we are members of Historic Hotels of America, so I think that we have a little bit of an off-the-beaten-path, authentic experience that we offer guest when they're visiting us," said Michelle Cook, Director of Sales and Marketing at the Landmark.
Sixteen members of the NCLL enjoyed lunch in the Skyroom. They learned about the history and future of the 87-year-old hotel, where many stars have stayed, including Amelia Earhart, Louis Armstrong and John Stamos.
