HARVEY, Mich. (WLUC) - Saturday was the grand opening celebration for Lake Superior Smokehouse Brewpub in Harvey.

The restaurant welcomed the community inside, along with hosting a special ceremony to honor disabled American veterans.

This was done by raising a flag, which belonged to the restaurant president's grandfather who served in World War II.

Scott Arbur says he wanted to do this to honor his grandfather, along with the other brave men and women, who made his dream possible.

"Patriotism and the brave service men and women are important to me and the sacrifices that they have made to allow us the freedom and the opportunity to do such a project,” he explained.

The restaurant invites people to come in and check out their new place.

They're open Monday thru Saturday from 11 to 8 P.M., and on Sunday from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M.
