MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Lake Superior Community Partnership is looking to continue increasing their number of clients and work in the community.
The partnership met Wednesday for their annual board meeting.
While there, the group reflected on their 2019 accomplishments such as continued work in business retention and expansion.
The partnership also noticed growth with start-ups and succession planning.
The group pointed out issues in other areas such as housing, transportation and childcare, where they're working to make improvements.
"It's important to have an organization like the Lake Superior Community Partnership, your local economic development organization, here to serve the clients. It's an investment in your community, and it's important to have those services here,” said Lake Superior Community Partnership CEO, Amy Clickner.
In upcoming events, Lake Superior Community Partnership will host several events during the UP200.
Clickner says this will help their organization meet legislators to have fun, but also to discuss business concerning Marquette County and the U.P.
