LAKE LINDEN, Mich. (WLUC) - A Lake Linden woman won a half-million dollars through a new Michigan Lottery game.
Michele Brogan Myers appeared on the lottery show Tuesday night with former Detroit Pistons player John Salley. Myers had the unique opportunity to spin The Big Spin prize wheel, with the chance to win big. After taking her turn, 46-year-old Myers won $500,000.
"Ever since I got the call about coming to spin the big wheel, I have been so nervous," said Brogan, in a press release. "For the last few weeks, all I have been able to do is wonder how much I'll win and what I would do with all of that money."
During the game, players have the chance to walk away with up to $2,000,000. Players simply spin the big wheel, and whatever prize it lands on, the player will take home with them.
"Winning $500,000 is life changing in so many ways," said Brogan. "I am going to bed tonight with relief knowing I have money to pay off all my debt and have money left over to finally get my masters degree."
Brogan was one of five players selected for The Big Spin show by a random drawing. Fifteen more players will be selected to participate on The Big Spin show. Additional The Big Spin second chance drawings are scheduled to take place on Thursday, Oct. 31, and Jan. 2, 2020.
According to the Michigan Lottery, The Big Spin is a $10 instant ticket with instant win top prizes of up to $1,000,000.
The Big Spin instant ticket also gives players the opportunity to submit Spin Codes from non-winning tickets on the Big Spin website to earn entries for a chance to win an opportunity to spin The Big Spin event wheel in person. Players can then go on to win a guaranteed prize from $100,000 up to $2,000,000.
