MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The 23rd annual Ladies Night Out in Marquette saw a great turnout Thursday night. While some of the men are out at deer camp, the ladies were able to enjoy a night of food, drinks, and shopping. Downtown businesses opened their doors with specials and free treats for the ladies attending. Those attending even had chance to win various prize baskets while raising money for the Women's Center.
"We are offering passports here tonight for a $2 suggested donation with all the proceeds going to the Women's Center, the Women's Center is a great resource in our community and so we feel that having the proceeds go to that is a really great cause, it's something that we all really support here," said Tara Laase-McKinney, Marquette Downtown Development Authority Promotions and Events Coordinator.
Again, this was the 23rd for ladies night out in Marquette. Many other communities in the u-p held similar events ahead of the firearm deer season opening day.
