Kingsford teen receives jail time and probation for home invasion charge

IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WLUC) - A Kingsford man who’s accused of breaking into a home and threatening several occupants of the occupants of the residence was sentenced Monday in Dickinson County Circuit Court.

Brandyn Ray, 17, received seven months in jail and 24 months of probation for third degree home invasion and assault-weapon. Ray also received HYTA status.

The Iron Mountain Police Department dispatched via 911 to a possible home invasion on February 7. The call came in around 11:43 PM. It was reported that Ray kicked in the door of a residence on the 600 block of East A Street in Iron Mountain.

Ray threatened the occupants of the home with a knife. Ray was subdued by the residents just prior to officers arriving on scene.
