MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Kids in Marquette gathered on Friday to celebrate the release of the newest star wars movie.

The Peter White public library hosted a Star Wars themed party in the library’s lower level. Many young fans of the series showed up dressed up as their favorite character.

They made crafts, participated in games and enjoyed star wars themed snacks during the event. It provides a way for kids and parents to get together for something they both love.

“Star Wars is so intergenerational, and people just kind of come together for star wars. People love star wars, kids love star wars, parents love to bring their kids to star wars stuff because they love star wars, so it’s just a lot of star wars fun,” said Sarah Rehborg, Youth Services Librarian.
