Keyes Peak in Florence, Wisconsin, is again offering ski lessons and racing for kids.

On Saturday, Jan. 25, kids ages 6- 17 can receive quality ski instruction from professional coaches from the Granite Peak Ski team coaching staff. A $10 fee covers the daily lift ticket, ski rentals and lessons.

Students can then race for free on an official NASTAR course during the Roberts memorial ski race. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the fastest male and female race times.

"This has been going on for about 6 years. It's a very exciting event, the ski coaches love to come up and do this for our community. Mike Roberts was a volunteer at Keyes Peak Ski Hill and skied there his whole life, he passed away, and this is a great tribute to all the work her did to Keyes Peak Ski Hill and we're really appreciative,” said Wendy Gehlhoff, the Director for Florence County Economic Development.

Registration is limited and will fill up at 75 kids.
