Michigan Tech's Keweenaw Day, K-Day, had a new location this year. It is typically held in McClain's State Park. This year it moved to the Chassell Centennial Park due to renovations at McClains.

Students were released from class at noon to enjoy food, music and games for students. 180 student organization booths set up shop, including a handful of new groups.

"The rocket club, Keweenaw Rocket Range, got here not too long ago and they just became a student organization as of two days ago so that is really exciting. Mind Trekkers are here as always. They have their liquid nitrogen explosions that they will be doing that will be exciting," said student activities coordinator Rochelle Spencer.
