MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - If you've ever thought about adopting a furry friend, now may be the time as June is Adopt A Cat Month.
The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter (UPAWS) is encouraging folks looking for a cat to take part in a special sale for cat adoptions.
Cats ages one to six are only $25, while cats seven years and older are free.
This includes neuter and spaying, vaccinations, and a health check, everything a cat needs to head to a new home.
"I love cats. You just have to get to know them. They have personalities, they wait for you to come home, they're wonderful, wonderful companions," said Ann Brownell, UPAWS Community Outreach Coordinator.
