GOGEBIC COUNTY, Mich. (WLUC) - An Ironwood woman arrested for a large number of animals not being properly cared for under her care was sentenced Tuesday in Gogebic County Circuit Court.
Crystal Marie Lotzer, 37, received 30 days in jail with credit for six days for one count of felony animal cruelty of 10 or more animals. She is also to serve 2 years of probation.
While following up on an investigation, the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Animal Control Officers found a large number of animals inside Lotzer’s home.
Officers removed four dogs, seven cats, 20 rabbits, two ducks, a raven, seagull, and a snake from the inside of her home.
