CRYSTAL FALLS, Mich. (WLUC) - An Iron River man arrested for assault was sentenced Monday in Iron County.
Gregory Maltry, who was 45 at the time of his arrest, pleaded no contest to charges of carrying a concealed weapon and assault.
A judge sentenced him to 12 months in jail, with credit for 284 days already served and two years of probation.
In March, he was arrested after he assaulted another person with a knife. Officers pulled him over at a traffic stop after he was found leaving the scene. Police say Maltry threw the knife from his vehicle.
