The Florence County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the Iron Mountain woman that drowned near Vagabond Boat Launch Saturday.
52-year-old Robin Dean was found floating in the water after returning from a boat ride with a male acquaintance.
The Florence County Sheriff's Office said the case has been ruled as an accidental drowning.
The Florence County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the drowning of a 52-year-old Iron Mountain woman.
Officers were called to the Vagabond Boat Launch Saturday evening for a woman who was found floating in the water.
According to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, the woman had just returned from a boat ride with a male acquaintance. While the man went to the parking lot to retrieve his vehicle and trailer, the woman stayed on the dock, tending the boat. When the man returned to the dock a few minutes later, he found her floating face down in the water. He was able to get the woman out of the water and began CPR.
The woman was later pronounced dead at Dickinson County Healthcare.
The Florence County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department, Iron Mountain Police Department, and Beacon Ambulance.
The name of the victim has not been released. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
