UPDATE: Iron Mountain police identify suspects in breaking and entering investigation

IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WLUC) - UPDATE at 10:15 a.m. central Monday: Iron Mountain police say the four juvenile suspects in Friday night's breaking and entering at the Old Central/Elementary School have been identified.

Police say no further information will be released. Investigators thank those who helped identify the three boys and one girl.


The Iron Mountain Police Department is investigating a breaking and entering at the old Central/Elementary School.

Police say officers were called to the old school at 301 West Hughitt Street Friday at 9:30 p.m. because of suspicious activity. Responding officers discovered that the glass on one of the entrance doors had been shattered and several suspects had entered the building.

Police say the four suspects ran away just before the officer arrived. The younger suspects, possibly juveniles, are believed to be three boys and one girl. Police didn't say if they took anything from the old school.

Police released three surveillance images of the suspects.

Kingsford Public Safety, the Dickinson County Sheriff's Office and the Michigan State Police assisted at the scene.
