IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WLUC) - Application deadlines are getting close for one Iron Mountain Downtown Development Authority 2019 grant.
The DDA is offering a Historic Facade Grant for 50 percent construction reimbursements, or up to $10,000.
They offer grants as an incentive for people looking to start businesses downtown. The goal is to invest in Iron Mountain to keep the area historic and beautiful.
"The Facade Grant is focused primarily on historic preservation on the building,” DDA Program Director Paula Craven said. “So we like to see windows taken back to its original design from the very beginning or different other facade exterior projects taken back to its historic nature."
Applications for this grant are due to the DDA by March 21.
