In Tuesday's elections in Houghton County, there have been some issues regarding people who thought they were registered to vote.

According to Houghton County Clerk, Jennifer Lorenz, voters are confused about being registered to vote. They say they registered in Michigan, online, but, that's not possible in this state, as presently, online voter registration is not allowed.

What apparently happened was a third party was involved, sending them an 'application' to register to vote. The people were not actually registered.

Also in Michigan, you can not register to vote at the polls.

This lead to some disappointed expectant voters this Election Day.

There is a possibility voting laws like this will change if Proposal 3 passes on Tuesday. Learn more about Proposal 3 by
