Homeowner dead after house fire in Menominee County
A man is dead after a house fire in Menominee County.
Menominee County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a house fire in Ingallston Township Tuesday around 3:12 p.m.
When investigators and deputies arrived on the scene, they found flames coming from the basement and the rest of the house was engulfed in flames. It was believed that the homeowner was still inside.
The Menominee-Ingallston Township Fire Department and Mellen Township Fire Department arrived and battled the flames.
The fire departments entered the residence and found that a man was inside. He was rushed to Aurora Medical Center Bay Area in Marinette, Wisconsin, where he was pronounced dead.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Aurora Medical Center Bay Area Paramedics, Michigan State Police Fire Inspector, and Accelerant Detection K9, WPS, Marinette County Sheriff’s Office, and Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office assisted at the scene.
