GOGEBIC COUNTY, Mich. (WLUC) - A Wisconsin resident involved in a home invasion and armed robbery incident in Marenisco Township pleaded guilty to his charges back in March.
Matthew Todd Norton, 47, pleaded guilty to first degree home invasion and assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. His other charges including felony firearms, possession of firearms by a felon and armed robbery were dismissed.
Norton and 41-year-old Amber Jo Dorschner, also of Wisconsin are accused of breaking into a home on East Shore Road in Marenisco Township on December 18, 2018. They assaulted and tied up the homeowner, robbing him of money and numerous guns.
The homeowner was able to free himself and call the authorities.
Investigators were unable to locate the suspects after an extensive search of the area, but on January 9, they were found in Wisconsin.
Norton is set for sentencing on June 18. Dorschner is set to enter a plea in court on May 14.
