Heavy snowfall, warming temperatures cause collapse of two historic buildings

WILSON, Mich. (WLUC) - Winter has even taken the roofs on two historic buildings.

The old Wilson Tavern, built in 1902, is now destroyed from the snow.

The roof caved in busting top floor windows with remains sprawled around the base of the building.

The schoolhouse has also collapsed from this winter's heavy snowfall.

Both buildings are about 18 miles west of Escanaba and used to be considered the ghost town of Wilson.
