HANCOCK, Mich. (WLUC) - The Friends of the Portage Lake District Library (PLDL) will be hosting a two-day Used Book Sale at the Hancock School Public Library.
The sale will be held Friday, November 22, from 3:30 to 6 p.m. and Saturday, November 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hancock High School at 501 Campus Drive in Hancock.
The library is currently accepting donations of books for the sale. Books must be in good condition.
Proceeds from the sale will be used to expand the Board Book and Picture Book Non-Fiction collections in the Hancock library, which will see more use with the recently introduced 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program.
On November 1, 2018, the PLDL entered into an agreement with the Hancock Public Schools. Under the agreement, PLDL staffs the Hancock library and provides books and other materials, access to library databases, inter-library loan, and programming.
The agreement is for three years.
All library events are free and everyone is welcome. For more information about the sale, please call the library at 906-487-5925, ext. 8005.
