HANCOCK, Mich. (WLUC) - Hancock Public Schools is dismissing class early Thursday due to a weather-related incident.
A spokesperson from the superintendent's office says there was an incident at Barkell Elementary School that was discovered this morning as students were en route to class.
Aerial pictures from Aerial Imagery Services confirms a portion of the roof collapsed under the weight of the snow.
Elementary students were rerouted to the Middle and High School. All students will be dismissed home beginning at 10 a.m.
The schools spokesperson confirms there were no injuries. It is unknown whether school will be in session Friday, March 15 at this time.
