UPDATE: Gwinn man sentenced for attempted possession of meth

DELTA COUNTY, Mich. (WLUC) - Update: 6/25, 12:58 p.m.
25-year-old David Thompson received a sentence of 12 months in jail for attempted possession of meth.

Thompson has a credit for 133 days served.

A Gwinn man arrested for possession of meth entered a guilty plea in Delta County Circuit Court Monday.

David Thompson, 25, pleaded guilty to attempted possession of meth.

According to Delta County Sheriff’s Office, deputies stopped Thompson’s vehicle in the Flatrock area for an equipment violation on February 11.

Thompson’s arrest was the result of further investigation and with the assistance from K-9 Jet.

A sentencing date is set for June 24.
