GWINN, Mich. (WLUC) - A strategic planning meeting was held at Gwinn Area Community Schools (GACS) on Saturday.
The meeting focused on “data-driven strategic planning,” taking input from 222 community surveys in order to create a three to five year plan for the district.
During the meeting, attendees brainstormed ideas for improvement ranging from building upgrades to curriculum changes.
"We have school board members, administrators, staff, community members, and students. We really wanted to invite a wide array of people who are involved in very different capacities within the district,” said GACS School Board President, Ashley Jenema.
Jenema added that this meeting is only the beginning stage in creating a strategic plan for the district.
