Good turnout for UP Builders Show could mean busy building season

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The annual U.P. Builders Show is a wrap and organizers say it had a great turnout this year. The builders show gathers contractors, land brokers, builders and more inside Northern Michigan University's Superior Dome.

This year they saw more than 4,000 visitors come and check out the show. The builders show also gives building professionals a chance to gauge what the upcoming season will be like.

"The builders show really is the introduction to spring, with the builders getting their quotes out and the houses drawn up and the contracts done, and the homeowners thinking of projects. It gets everybody in that mode to start thinking now is the time to do it," said Executive Officer for the Home Builder's Association of the U.P., Sarah Schultz.

This was the 45th year for the U.P. Builders Show.
