ISHPEMING, Mich. (WLUC) - The Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce will present the 3rd Annual West End Winter Wonderland fundraiser event. This event will be held on Saturday, February 9, from 4-7 p.m. at Wawonowin Country Club (3432 County Road 478, Champion).

This will be an outdoor winter event featuring games, food, drinks, and fun. Hit the snowy, groomed trail on Wawonowin’s course to check out the different chamber member stations. These stations will provide guests with appetizers, drinks, and activities. This event will have fun for everyone, so bring the whole family! Registration is $20 for adults, $10 seniors and students, and $5 for children 15 and under. Registration includes entrance into event, food at the stations, drink tickets, and a commemorative gift. The event will also include a 50/50 raffle and a chance to win a grand prize gift basket from Travel Marquette.

From 1-3 PM, enjoy a snowcross race brought to you by UPCross. There will be day of registration for this race. If racers wish to participate in Winter Wonderland activities afterwards, it is only a $10 add-on for adults and $5 for children 15 and under.

The schedule of events is as follows: 12 PM UPCross race registration (inside Clubhouse),
1 PM UPCross race begins, 3 PM West End Winter Wonderland registration (inside Clubhouse),
4 PM West End Winter Wonderland begins. Winter Wonderland participants may come early if they wish to see the snowcross race in action and cheer on the racers. The Clubhouse will be open from 12 PM until all events are over, so there are no worries about being stuck outside in the cold.

Guests may snowshoe, ski, or snowbike on the groomed trails. Walking without snowshoes is not permitted. Wilderness Sports has donated the use of their snowshoes at Wawonowin Country Club for the duration of the event on a first-come, first-served basis.

To register, call GINCC at 906-486-1111, email, or visit Eventbrite. See updates about the event at
