Former employee pleaded guilty to embezzlement from Superior Eye Health and Vision Therapy

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - 39-year-old Jamie Jean Tasson pleaded guilty to embezzlement from Superior Health and Vision Therapy Center.

Tasson, previously of Cypress Street Ishpeming, is a past employee of Superior Health and Vision Therapy Center.

She was charged with seven felony counts of embezzlement over $100,000, possession of fraudulent financial transaction device, and using a computer to commit a crime.

Tasson pleaded guilty to a reduced embezzlement charge on November 3, 2017.

Superior Eye Health and Vision Therapy Center said in a press release that they have “worked diligently this year to recover from this devastating financial loss and betrayal by a key employee. Our priority, as always, is caring for our patients which we will continue without interruption of service.”

Jamie Tasson is scheduled for sentencing on January 12th in Marquette County Circuit Court.
