Most of the Marquette Mall to be demolished

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Demolition work will soon begin at the Marquette Mall, as crews started setting up fences Tuesday along the front of the building.

Dagenais Enterprises says it plans to tear down most of the building. The former Menard's building on the west side will remain, as it currently holds a Dollar Tree store. That is the only business left in the mall, after Riverside Auto moved to its new location in Marquette Township last month.

Dagenais plans to begin the demolition work this fall, but there are no precise plans for the property.
