Veterans Day was celebrated in Hermansville at the Floriano-Stecker-Kelly American Legion Post 340.

The veterans hosted a flag raising and program at the Veterans Marker, while ‘taps’ was played. The Veterans Marker is a monument that has been dedicated the city and to veterans who have died. Wreaths were also placed near the marker in remembrance of the fallen.

It’s an event that brings the community together, said the post commander of post 340 James Wash.

"Well the ceremony today is what we've held at this post for many, many years, and a meal and going to have some companionship and some good memories that float around,” he said.

A lunch and dinner was also held for attendees, and the local school band that played.
