MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The First Baptist Church in Marquette hosted its first community Easter Brunch Sunday. The meal was free and available to everyone in the community.
"We as a church love to cook and we thought we take those talents and open up and get people who may not have a place to go for Easter brunch or Easter lunch. We wanted to give back and make sure everyone has a place and feels like they belong to a family,” said Pastor of the First Baptist Church, Chad Mager.
Many First Baptist parishioners brought food to the Easter potluck that was expecting over 60 people in attendance. The church plans to make this an annual event.
