SOUTH TRENARY, Mich. (WLUC) - On Saturday, the Trenary community kicked off the Third Annual Dylan Heinonen 3D archery shoot.
This event is held in honor of Dylan Heinonen who died in 2015.
Since Heinonen loved to shoot, his family and friends felt this event would be the perfect way to remember him, in addition to helping raise money for his daughter.
During the day, people participated in 3D archery shoot contests. There also was food, drinks, and even live music.
"We have people coming from Wisconsin, Lower Michigan, mostly a lot of friends and family. It's great to see everyone out here. Archery is a great sport to begin with, but doing it for a good cause, which is raising money for Dylan's daughter is great,” said Luke Begovac, Dylan Heinonen’s cousin.
Organizers look forward to hosting this event again next year!
