ISHPEMING, Mich. (WLUC) - Volunteers at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ishpeming are busy preparing for their 76th annual Fall Bazaar.
It's one day only, Saturday, October 19, from 10 a.m. until to 1 p.m. at 1889 Prairie Avenue. It's free and open to the public and features homemade lunch at 11 a.m.
If that's not enough, there's a bake sale with tons of homemade breads, cookies, desserts and more.
You'll find dozens of basket drawings, 50/50 raffles along with tons of new and used items from hockey sticks to a crucifix.
Annie Trudell, President of St. Joseph’s Guild, says there's lots of toys, games, books, puzzles and a white elephant sale.
"A white elephant is a rare and unique item. We have a lot of rare and unique items. And nothing is priced. You just come, if you see something you like, make an offer and if we think that’s good, we'll take it," Trudell stated.
Trudell says all proceeds from the bazaar go back to the community.
“There's lots and lots of lots and lots. The whole hall is set up, so you can come here, have a good time, a good meal and visit and just enjoy and know you're helping your community,” Trudell concluded.
