Escanaba man in critical condition after two vehicle crash, Gladstone man arrested
On man was arrested and another injured in a Friday morning crash in Ford River Township.
On November 8, at 9:46 a.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police Gladstone Post were dispatched to a crash involving two vehicles on M-69 near 14th Rd. in Ford River Twp.
Investigation at the scene revealed, the driver of a pickup truck was traveling south on M-69, crossed the center line, and crashed head on with a north bound vehicle.
The driver of the pickup is a 38-year-old man from Gladstone and driver of the sedan is a 51-year-old Escanaba man.
Valley Med airlifted the Escanaba man to U.P. Health System Marquette where he remains in critical condition.
The Gladstone man was treated at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba for minor injuries. He was then released, and lodged at the Delta County Jail.
Alcohol and drugs are suspected to be factors in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by Hannahville Police, Michigan Department of Natural Resources officers, MSP Motor Carriers, Rampart EMS, Valley Med, and local first responders.
