In a surprise move at Monday night's Escanaba City Council meeting, City Manager Patrick Jordan announced, he is staying on the job.

According to the Radio Results Network, Jordan accepted a new contract offer and signed the deal Monday night.

Last month, Jordan announced he is resigning December 1st to take a job in Florida.

The new contract includes a pay increase, from $100,000 to $125,000 annually. The city council voted 4-1 in favor of this deal.

Jordan says, there are good things happening in Escanaba and he wanted to stay on the job to see it through.
