Econ professor to give talk about trade, globalization to Econ Club on Monday

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - An assistant professor of economics at Northern Michigan University is giving a presentation to the Economic Club of Marquette County about trade and globalization.

Assistant Professor of Economics at NMU Jesse Wright will discuss the U.S. trade dealings with other nations and how it impacts our country and economy.

Jesse Wright, who is also a retired commercial and development banker, will present, "As America Debates Globalization, The World Has Moved On." Wright says he will primarily discuss the rise of coalitions around the globe and growing trade threats, as well as the impacts it has on our country.

The presentation will be given Monday, Nov. 11 at the Ramada Inn in Marquette from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The public is invited as well, but it will cost $55 for non-members.
