UPDATE: Police seek suspect in Landmark Inn armed robbery

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – UPDATE at 8:20 a.m. Thursday:

Marquette police say they are looking for a suspect after an early morning armed robbery at a hotel in downtown Marquette.

Around 4:30 a.m. Thursday, Marquette police were called to the Landmark Inn. The suspect in the armed robbery is described as a man approximately 5’6” to 5’8” with a thin build. The suspect was reportedly wearing a grey Tommy Hilfiger hooded sweatshirt and tan and grey flannel pajama type pants.

The suspect’s face was hidden by sunglasses and a partial black mask. The suspect was reported to have a firearm in his waistband. The suspect reportedly left the Landmark Inn, at 230 N. Front St. with an undisclosed amount of cash.

ORIGINAL STORY at 5:30 a.m. Thursday:

The parking lot of the Landmark Inn, located at 230 N. Front Street in Marquette, was closed Thursday morning as police investigate a reported robbery.

As of 5:30 a.m., Marquette City Police remain on the scene, where a robbery was reported at approximately 4:37 a.m. Thursday.

A K-9 unit was seen searching the parking lot and surrounding streets.

Officers have not said if anything was stolen or if they have a suspect.

Marquette City Police, a Marquette City K9 Unit, and the Michigan State Police were all at the scene.
