MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Hot Plate took a different spin for Black Friday this year.
While parents were out shopping, Hot Plate owners opened their doors for kids at their Drop-and-Shop Art Camp.
This way kids could get a start to the holiday season as well as getting away from all the busy shopping.
The artists created a Christmas countdown calendar, glass ornaments, a pottery piece and even a canvas.
"I know as a mom it's always nice to have a place where my kids can go and do fun creative things, and make some fun gifts without me having to necessarily help them and do it,” said Hot Plate owner, Melissa Sprouse.
If your child missed Friday’s art camp, Hot Plate is offering a Kid's Night Out on December 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. for $35.
