Dan Perkins Construction, Inc. will be voluntarily constructing seven new roofs in the community. They plan to finish all seven by the end of this week.
The first roof is over the newly constructed pavilion at Al Quaal park, built by members of the St. Rocco’s/St. Anthony Society for the Italian Fest and other city purposes. Dan Perkins Construction, Inc. will attempt to do the entire roof there on Wednesday, working until 6 p.m. Members of the St. Rocco’s/St. Anthony Society will be there while the crew is busy on the roof.
In addition, three roofs will be constructed over life-saving stations on M-28, along the beaches of Lake Superior from Harvey to Sand Point.
The last three roofs to be constructed are over sign kiosks for the Iron Ore Heritage trail, two in Ishpeming and one in Negaunee.
All media are welcome and encouraged to visit the laborers and take photos/video of their efforts today at the pavilion in Al Quaal.
