MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - One restaurant in Marquette is giving people a chance to raise a glass for an important cause.
DIGS Gastropub is hosting an event called "Claws for Paws." It's a fundraiser for the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter (UPAWS).
During business hours on Friday, December 13, the restaurant will donate $1 to UPAWS for each sale of a White Claw Hard Seltzer.
Pike Distributing will also be on site during the event to hand out free White Claw accessories.
In addition, the company will be matching the donation DIGS makes to UPAWS.
"Doing a fundraiser during the holiday season is always good, and lots of people do that, so we always try to give as much as we can. We always have the slogan 'Party With a Purpose,' so why not party with UPAWS and White Claws?" asked DIGS Owner, Patrick Digneit.
DIGS Gastropub will open at 11 a.m. on that Friday. Double Trouble DJs will be on hand playing music until the bar closes at 2 a.m.
