Update: Crystal Falls man accused of killing a horse pled not guilty in Circuit Court

IRON COUNTY, Mich. (WLUC) - Update- Tuesday September, 12. 2:30 P.M:

Luke Wool of Crystal Falls Wool waived his Preliminary Exam and was immediately arraigned on the Circuit Court level.

He pled not guilty in Circuit Court and a pretrial conference is now set for October 10th.
An 18-year-old Crystal Falls man accused of killing one horse and injuring another was found competent to stand trial.

Luke Wool is charged with attempted murder, which was recently added on by the prosecutor’s office, felony firearms, discharging a firearm in or at a building and two counts of killing/torturing animals.

In March, the Iron County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of a shooting that injured a horse in Crystal Falls Township. Investigators said evident tied Wool to the death of another horse in February.

A preliminary exam is scheduled for August 14th.
