MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - More than 30 organizations participated in Northern Michigan’s University's annual Health Fair on Tuesday.
Organizers invited not only students to attend, but also people throughout the community.
While there, people explored the different booths by either trying the resources they provided or taking away valuable information.
Organizers even made a station available for people to read and pet dogs.
"A really good way to group everyone together so there's a lot of organizations both within the community and within Marquette County as well, so it's a good way to bring everyone involved, everyone can benefit from the same resources and continue to build that collaboration between the university and Marquette,” said NMU Health Fair Chairman, Matt Kilgas.
Organizers hope to expand future health events to include more vendors.
