KINGSFORD, Mich. (WLUC) - The City of Kingsford has made a donation to the Norway Speedway that will help keep the racers safe.
The city donated a surplus 1980 Howe Pumper fire truck to the Dickinson County Racing Association. The truck became surplus after the city bought a new truck two years ago.
They initially tried to sell the truck but after receiving low bids, the city decided to donate it instead.
The truck will be delivered to the racing association in the next month and will be stored at Norway Speedway to use whenever they need it.
